Winnie the Pooh and You at the Tradeshow?

By Susan Friedmann At first glance, theres no connection between Disneys Winnie the Pooh and tradeshows. The same is true of Piglet, Tigger, and the rest of the gang. What could this cuddly group of childhood favorites possibly teach us about exhibiting? Surprisingly, quite a bit. There are some very strong similarities between Winnie the Pooh and the other inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Woods and many tradeshow exhibitors. Dont believe me? Take a look and see how many of your staffers you recognize: Winnie the Pooh Pooh Bear may be cute, cuddly and approachable -- but hes also got one thing on his mind. What makes this roly poly bear happy? Honey, of course! Hes obsessed with the golden sweet -- when hes not enjoying a meal, hes in search of the next smackerel to fill his rumbly-tummy. A Pooh-style booth staffer is hungry. He might be talking to attendees, but hes thinking about lunch. If someone walks by with a sandwich, his eyes are instantly drawn to it. Scents from the food court get his nostrils quivering. When he gets a chance to eat, he takes it: even if that means eating in the
booth! Piglet Piglet is a very small animal, made even more timid when confronted with unfamiliar surroundings, loud noises, bright colors, and crowds. His reaction? Why, to run and hide under the bed, of course, or behind his good friend Pooh. A Piglet-style staffer may be naturally shy or someone who is easily overwhelmed. Their reaction, inspired by fear, is to fade into the back of the booth and hope no one notices them. More often than not, they get their wish -- which is good for them, but bad for your bottom line. Owl Owl is an exceedingly well educated bird. Hes got a brain just cram-packed full of facts and figures -- and he wants you to know it. No tidbit of information is too small to escape his attention, nor to avoid being retold to anyone who will listen. If you have an Owl-style staffer, you might count yourself lucky. After all, she knows EVERYTHING! However, watch your Owl in action. Their overwhelming compulsion to show off their knowledge can easily alienate attendees and send them in search of a salesperson who knows how to listen. Rabbit Rabbit is the busiest creature in the Hundred Acre Woods. Hes always rushing around: planting seeds over here, pulling weeds over there, chasing crows and watering daffodils. There are a million and one tasks required to keep his beloved garden blooming, and theyre all very important. You can always tell a Rabbit-style staffer. Theyre the ones with a cell phone constantly in their ear, fingers flying over the keyboard as they check e-mails or text message the home office. Theyre so obviously busy taking care of business that they cant be bothered with trivial distractions -- like talking to show attendees! Tigger Tigger is full of energy. He bounces around, springing from one thing that catches his attention to the next. Full of laughs, high spirits and infectious energy, Tiggers are a lot of fun to have around. Put Tigger at a tradeshow, however, and you might have a problem. Enthusiasm and high energy can attract traffic to your exhibit, but without some focus and control (concepts foreign to most Tigger-types) theres no way to capitalize on your crowds. At this point, you might be feeling a little like Eeyore -- down in the dumps. After all, with a booth full of Poohs, Piglets, Owls, Rabbits & Tiggers, your chances for success are looking pretty slim. Dont despair! The hero of the Hundred Acre Woods is on his way! Christopher Robin The human companion to Winnie the Pooh and all of his furry friends, Christopher Robin encompasses the best traits of all five and adds a crucial element: perspective and understanding of how things actually work. A Christopher Robin-style staffer combines Owls knowledge, Tiggers enthusiasm and Poohs approachability with an understanding and appreciation for the tradeshow attendee. They realize the importance of giving all their attention to their visitor, setting aside the cell phone, the lap top --even the sandwich! -- to focus on whats really important. Every exhibitor needs to have a Christopher Robin on their team, preferably more than one. Nows the time to take a look at your team. How many Christopher Robins do you have? How many Poohs? Piglets? Tiggers? What can you do to change the makeup in your Hundred Acre Woods? (Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Owl, Eeyore, Rabbit, Christopher Robin and the Hundred Acre Woods are all Disney) Written by Susan A. Tummy Tuck Recovery

By Seth Miller A tummy tuck is a serious medical procedure that many men and women undergo each year. Your commitment to recovery and self-care will ensure that your body has the best chance for full recovery. Following your physicians instructions for post-operative care is the most important thing you can do for tummy tuck recovery. After your tummy tuck, you will rest in a recovery room, or you might even be admitted to the hospital overnight. In either case, your physician will be monitoring you as you come out of general anesthesia, or the local anesthesia wears off. You will have swelling in the abdominal area, and it will be sore. You will be given antibiotics and painkillers to assist in your tummy tuck recovery. It is important that you communicate any allergies you have and any other vitamins, herbs or medications you take so that the medications prescribed for your recovery will be right for you. As with all antibiotics, it is important to take the full course of medicine, as prescribed. Once you are released, most physicians will prescribe two to three days of bed rest. While they may seem like three very long days, it is crucial for your tummy tuck recovery that you follow your surgeons instructions. If possible, have a friend or family member stay with you for those initial days at home so that they can help you and keep an eye on you as you recover. You will receive personalized instructions on medication, compression, elevation and rest during this time. Your physician may even be able to give you advice on ways to minimize scarring. After your initial tummy tuck recovery, you will slowly be able to return to your normal activities. Your level of fitness will ultimately determine how long your tummy tuck recovery takes. For most people, it takes about 6 months for full recovery. After your initial weeks of recovery, your physician will prescribe a diet and exercise routine to follow for optimal tummy tuck recovery. At any time, it is important to call your surgeons office if you experience excessive pain, swelling or bleeding. The office will be able to make suggestions, or schedule an appointment if necessary. After your recovery is complete, scar tissue will continue to fade and your abdomen will have the flat, tight look that you desire. Great results are typically visible about 8 months after the operation. The Benefits Of Craft Fairs

By Samantha Davis Craft fairs provide some of the cheapest, and most fun, entertainment every Saturday in parks across America, as well as precursors to various holidays, especially the Christmas shopping season. Craft fairs provide an opportunity for sellers as well as shoppers, and is a place to see the season's best in decorating trends, new products and inexpensive and unique gifts to purchase for yourself, your home or for presenting to others for birthdays, parties and holidays. In many towns across America, fairs are huge events, with hundreds of booths set up for people to display their crafts and creations. Many times, fairs also offer foods, drinks and bake sales as well, a great time to enjoy tasting and filling up on confections that tempt the senses. Craft fairs are an American tradition that serves to bring crafters and buyers together under the open sky or a gymnasium roof, though location doesn't really matter when it comes to one of these events. Kids, and adults of all ages flock to them even if they're not intending to buy anything in particular. It's an event that brings smiles and excitement to everyone and allows the sharing of ideas and creativity. You can find a myriad of things at craft fairs, and the bulk of items offered are homemade. You can find everything from quilts to dolls to homemade soaps and candles as well as candy, wall decor and clothing to wood and metal sculptures and designs. Such a fair also displays items knitted, crocheted, pieced or woven, and the sky is the limit to the number of unique and thoroughly delightful products that proud men and women fondly display at each individual craft booth. Craft fairs aren't only for women, and more and more men are not only attending these events, but also creating products for sale at national fairs. If you want to sell your own items, make sure you know the rules and obtain an application that can oftentimes be found at the local city Chamber of Commerce, the sponsor of the craft fair or local craft stores. Craft fairs can be a profit-enhancing endeavor for many, but be aware that fees for setting up booths can also take a big chunk out of your profits. Make sure that you have enough items to make your booth worth the effort. Don't try to sell your crafts at a flea market or swap meet, as you'll more than likely lose money. Stay away from festivals as well, as your products will be an afterthought and not the main attraction. Be aware that booth fees may range from single digit prices to hundreds, even thousands of dollars, depending on location, sponsor and type of craft show that is being advertised. Always read the fine print if you're considering paying for booth space and if possible, ask around for advice from veteran craft fair participants. Whether your selling or buying or just window-shopping, craft fairs provide plenty of entertainment and opportunities for both. 10 Landscaping Design Ideas To Enhance Your Home Garden

By Shrinivas Vaidya A home garden is a place, which can give identity to your home building in a neighborhood. You can use very little creativity to enhance to look and feel of your garden so that it stands out from the rest of the gardens in the neighborhood. Here is a list of probable elements you can add to your landscaping garden so that everybody loves it and you get the credit. 1) The compound wall of the home plot defines the boundary of the garden as well. Use paintings on the wall surface (inside), that will add excitement to your garden . You can go for a theme based paintings such as nature, waterfalls, sunsets etc.. 2) Use stone sculptures of actual human size. These statues greatly add a human touch to the garden and also defines a scale to the space. Everything we use in our daily lives such as clothes, kitchen utensils, office equipment, computer parts, are all always related to human measurements. If this is the case with all other objects, why exclude a garden from it. 3) Use a fountain with artificial mood creating lighting. This adds a great amount of curiosity during night. 4) Use Japanese stone lanterns instead of the normal ones. This is because stone has its own rough texture as against the smooth and fresh look and feel of the plants in a garden. This creates "hot-spots" in the garden if you plan to use light bulbs inside the stone lanterns. These stone lanterns can also be used along a pathway to define the direction of movement. 5) Design a pond that flows partially into the home building. This is a great way to seamlessly connect the interior and exterior of a home landscape. 6) If your garden has a swimming pool, then instead of having normal diving boards, be little creative and make it into the shape of a house or the person coming out of the mouth of an animal etc...Your kids will love this and will be remembered whoever visits your garden. 7) Create private semi-open patios in your garden. This is a great place to sit around and chat with your loved ones and also can be used as a small deck during a small party. 8) If you love pets, then try rabbits, ducks along with a small pond, in the backyard. These pets have very fresh colors and add great amount of liveliness in the garden. 9) If possible plants flowerings trees with fragrance. This is a free and absolutely amazing way to keep your garden fresh. 10) Create levels in your garden to distinguish various areas as per the function of the garden. A leveled garden always creates interest and curiosity. If you have read this article completely you can see I have hardly talked about plats and their species in landscaping. So landscaping design is also about using creativity with materials and their finishes. I hope this article helps you to start thinking creatively about your home garden and generate more unique ideas. An Outdoor Swing is A Great Way to Relax

By Jennifer Akre There is simply no better vantage point from which to view the beauty of nature, the occasional passerby and the antics of wildlife than an outdoor swing. Outdoor swings do more than provide a beautiful addition to your outdoor dcor; they provide a relaxation spot, gathering place and a comfortable outdoor perch that will be greatly appreciated by everyone in the family. Whether you are reading a captivating novel, napping or just enjoying the scenery, an outdoor swing is the perfect place to enjoy all your favorite activities. What could be better than sipping a cool drink while lazily watching the rest of the world go by? And outdoor swings are available in all of your favorite styles like Nantucket, Adirondack and Western. It does not matter whether your home is simple or grand, country or formal, there is an outdoor swing to fit your individual personality, style and budget. Take for instance the Sheraton porch swing crafted by Kingsley-Bate. Hand carved from Javanese teak wood in the ageless, romantic 18th century style, this outdoor swing is breathtaking in its exquisite beauty. This particular outdoor swing is assembled with precise mortise and tenon joinery, and will provide your family with a comfortable place to relax for decades to come. There are also numerous other outdoor swing styles to choose from like the Nantucket porch swing. This outdoor swing features heavy construction and heavily scaled pieces crafted from Southern Yellow Pine. In addition to a natural finish, there are 28 color finish options available with the Nantucket Porch swing which includes eye-catching colors such as lime, mauve and canary or more sedate colors such as sunny yellow, island green and white. You can also choose from several finish options such as natural, pristine, washed and distressed. And you do not have to worry about not being able to afford one of these beauties. Most outdoor swings cost approximately $500. Of course you can spend more depending on what tastes you have and how far your budget can take you. But one thing is for sure. When you furnish your outdoor space with outdoor swings you create outdoor living rooms that will quickly become the most desired spots in the house. In fact, you may have to get one for every member of your family or you might find yourself watching everyone else relax while you can only dream of having an outdoor swing all to yourself. Weight Loss - The Latest Scientific Research

By Brenda Watson, N.D., C.N.C Scientists have begun studying some of the mysteries and apparent contradictions of the weight loss and diet industries. One fascinating theory that science is exploring is whether or not bacteria in your gut can aid or act as a detriment in your weight loss program. When we are born, trillions of microorganisms begin to take up residence in your gut. And by the time youve reached two years of age, this flourishing community is essentially complete, performing countless functions that include everything from digestion to vitamin production. So what do these microscopic masses have to do with whether or not your daily diet is packing on the pounds? Consider the following. The microbes in your digestive system are primarily of two different types of bacteriabacteroidetes and firmicutesand included among the many jobs they perform is that of extracting calories from the food you eat. This is particularly interesting to scientists analyzing in why some people as opposed to others tend to gain weight more easily. Recent studies on mice and humans have shown that those with more firmicutes in their digestive tracts extracted significantly more calories from the same amount of food than those with more bacteroidetes. Essentially, this means that two different people of relatively similar weight can eat the same exact portion of a certain food, but the dieter with more firmicutes in his or her gut would consume a higher number of calories. One scientific study tracked twelve obese people for twelve months as they followed a fixed predetermined diet. Before beginning the diet, their gut bacteria levels consisted primarily of firmicutes. But as they progressed and lost more weight, scientists noticed that their bacterial levels changed and began to resemble those of leaner people. That is, they contained a higher concentration of bacteroidetes. These and other studies are leading researchers to look beyond traditional theories about weight loss and dieting. Although these studies are very new, they hold promise for many Americans who struggle daily with being overweight. If losing weight could be as simple as changing the balance of bacteria in our intestines, it would revolutionize the way we think about dieting. For now though, it is simply too soon to tell, and when it comes to losing weight, a good old-fashioned healthy diet and regular exercise remain the most effective solution. Brenda Watson N.D., is among the foremost authorities in America today on natural digestive care and proper nutrition. She is the president of ReNew Life Formulas and the founder of five natural healthcare clinics specializing in internal cleansing, detoxification and healthy weight loss. A renowned lecturer, media presence and best-selling author, her books include ReNew Your Life: Improved Digestion and Detoxification, and Gut Solutions: Natural Solutions to Your Digestive Problems. Exercise Burnout - Not A Factor With Isometrics

By Ellen Miller Any exercise program that requires you to sweat, strain, grunt, sweat and suffer on a regular basis for an un-proscribed length of time is going to lead to burnout, eventually, no matter how satisfying the results might be. Since isometric exercise doesnt contain any of those elements, burnout isnt a factor. There are those who are addicted to gym workouts as surely as any poor unfortunate soul may be addicted to drugs, and theyd be utterly bewildered by any talk of burnout. But for the normal, every day, regular exerciser, failing motivation, sagging interest and deteriorating enthusiasm is a real factor; that kind of burnout is a definite probability and a real danger to the ongoing success of any fitness program. How many gazillion flights can anyone climb on stair-climber how many thousands of miles can they walk on a treadmill or ride on a stationery bicycle before a very strong I am so over this! factor kicks in? From the moment such a thought surfaces, that persons entire fitness program is in grave danger and almost certainly will be abandoned before too much longer. And who can blame them? Maybe, after driving themselves mercilessly for many months, they got the physical look they wanted and lost the weight theyd hoped to lose but those results came from exercises that endlessly tortured their bodies left them sweaty, exhausted and in pain infringed upon their social and family life by demanding endless hours in a gym and packed a pretty solid wallop to their bank account, what with the cost of gym membership and the purchase of special workout clothes. That kind of burnout is never experienced with isometric exercise. And thats especially true if you are working out to the guidance of an isometric training DVD, in the no-extra-cost comfort and privacy of your own home. The exercises youll learn from an isometrics training DVD arent the kind that wear you out and leave you enervated, exhausted or in pain. To the contrary, when youre finished with an isometrics workout you feel vigorous, energetic and ready to take on whatever comes your way. Results are obvious really quickly, too. Each isometric exercise takes only ten short minutes a day, and you can perform them as you go about your regular routine. You can strengthen your abdominal muscles while answering the phone you can target your arm muscles while watching TV you can firm up the muscles in your buttocks while sitting at a desk. Do as many or as few a day as you feel like doing. Do them at any time of the day or night, while you are doing just about anything else. Dress however you feel like dressing (or need to be dressed, if youre incorporating the exercises into your office workday). Without the expense both in terms of money and of time of a gym membership without the strain and pain of strenuous, tortuous special-equipment exercises without feeling ragged, worn out and miserable after each workout, burnout is one thing you wont have to worry about with an isometrics program as you stay fit, trim and vigorous for the rest of your life. Unity-in-Diversity: A Holistic Paradigm for Interreligious Dialogue

By Sandi Fults The following is an argument for a means of compassionate communication among religions, applying a holistic or unifying regard for the similarities and differences that are essential characteristics for faith life in the global age. Diversity is an opportunity, a celebration. Diversity is not a threat to the worlds religions. Rather, it is a reflection of the diverse union of the Godhead. Avoidance of the central fact that there are diverse faith traditions, which have value in the theological sense, is a primary cause for conflict at every level of human interaction. In the field of interreligious dialogue, primary theories and principles guide the issue. Doctrine is inevitable and necessary for a religion. Creeds and dogma to which they point give definition to religion, simultaneously limiting and isolating adherents from those of other religions. Doctrine belongs to a religions diversity aspect (which is not solely defined by doctrine. Diversity includes other characteristics such as culture, history, etc.). Unity is a non-temporal, non-spatial (eternal, infinite) aspect that is transcendent and immanent to the diverse elements of faith that distinguish one religion from another. Basic assumptions guide debate about dialogue among the worlds religions. These assumptions include a conviction that interreligious dialogue has a vital role in the quest for world peace. For another, doctrinal differences among religions can be reconciled or accommodated without compromising doctrines essential utility to religions. Dogmatism leads to intolerance. More than one faith model can have ultimate value. Theoretical frameworks that guide this position: Cultural, historical and personal conditions are necessary considerations, which are informed and structured by an individuals or a religions faith experience and vice verse. The One Reality, whether known as God, Trinity, Allah, Brahman, Nibbana, Yahweh, etc., reveals itself or is revealed within the context of such considerations. However, that Reality is not limited to the conditioned ways in which the faithful refer to it. Unreasonable attachment to the letter (dogma) rather than the spirit (faith) of doctrine results in exclusivism, self-proclaimed superiority and isolation. These results are antithetical to a religions proclaimed objectives to realize alignment with the One and perpetuate dangerous illusion. Caution: A sanitized one world religion, whether it be Islam, Christianity, or some amorphous other religion, contradicts the overwhelming and diverse evidence to the contrary that the world and its peoples are created in and best served by an atmosphere of diversity. Relevant research investigates the social implications of interreligious dialogue, the possibilities and effectiveness of moving beyond doctrine, and theological support for the Trinity as a unity-in-diversity paradigm for the worlds great spiritual traditions, especially institutional religions. Additional research investigates Christian and extra-Christian mystical traditions and the relevance of right and left-brain hemisphere functions. Theological issues are primary factors that guide debate and investigation into the possibilities for interreligious dialogue. If a religion defines itself as the exclusive conduit to God, salvation, enlightenment or whatever, then that definition is theologically founded. The concern in certain religions is that a given tradition will lose its central defining cause for existence. For example, Christianity is grounded in Christs Gospel imperative to spread the Good News. Is it possible for Christianity to broaden its doctrinal perspective to include a unity-in-diversity model in its consideration of non-Christian religions without sacrificing central articles of Christian faith? Some Christian theologians argue that the most central Christian dogma, the Trinity, is paradigm for unity-in-diversity model of religions. Conversely, Trinitarian theology and Christology often are raised as central theological areas that prevent inclusion of the worlds religions as receptacles of similar value and truth. An urgent question: Can Christianity accept as either similarly valid a religion that neither requires nor demands that its adherents embrace salvation, let alone salvation solely through Christs redemptive event? How is the Trinity present to the world and its religions? Must the religions accept the Trinity, as does Christianity, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit or do non-Christian models for salvation, enlightenment or liberation have ultimate equal value to the Christian model? At the heart of this debate or controversy, depending on where one stands, are problems that misguide efforts to penetrate depth of the issue. Any doctrine necessarily casts distinctions. In the collective religious comprehension of some people of faith, their way is true and only. An us vs. them mentality permeates the core of institutional religion. This creates resistance that is difficult, if not impossible to relieve at the discursive level. Additionally, how do faithful adherents of a religion learn to discern the value of church as institution (rational, discursive) and as faith in the Divine as immanent and transcendent (intuitive, experiential)? Perhaps the most difficult problem is that an attempt to convey a new vision of life is limited by language and other restrictive factors, some conscious, some unconscious. Answers to this predicament wait on human exploration in the non-rational realms of Reality, mystical exploration. In truth, all verbal attempts to comprehend one another are servants, not masters of non-verbal experience. The most apparent issue for interreligious dialogue is that certain religions are convinced that their ways are the one true way to God and that other religions are incomplete in comparison. Any attempts at analysis or reasonable defense fail, for, invariably, there is an equal and opposite defense. The most effective theological inquiry focuses on a unity-in-diversity model, which maintains that all life is an interrelated web. Each and every element has the potential to provide strength and substance to the whole web. This is an appropriate and effective approach to interreligious dialogue. The image opens the mind to possibilities that break down barriers to dialogue and to peace. Mystical investigation and experience allows rational and intuitive brain functions to find balance. The process is summarized by S. Radhakrishnan: "In every man there is a ray of the eternal light emanating from the Central Sun. When we love man, we are conscious of our unity with him in the central spirit and we give effect to this consciousness in our lives." (1) Religions ought to recognize that their creedal and doctrinal forms represent constructs that are primarily harvested from rational consciousness. These forms constitute the primary materials that theologians use in their arguments for and against the ways and means of interreligious dialogue. Additionally, theological inquiry of rational constructs is itself a rational, albeit necessary, endeavor. Therefore, intuitive methods and comprehension are largely subjugated by rational domination. Some approaches that help achieve balance between human rational and intuitive knowing include immersion in sacred texts of other religions and concerted efforts to practice ones own religions contemplative path. Sacred texts provide mythological and poetic languages that reside in intuitive domains. Contemplative practice is direct experience beyond the discursive mind. Balance between the brains rational and intuitive functions is a crucial factor for the interreligious dialogue process. Theological inquiry and creative investigation into ones own and the other create opportunities to realize what already is true: The worlds religions are integral elements of an existent unity-in-diversity reality. However, before individuals and religions can awaken to what is, they must strive to access the vast region of faith that resides within the mindthat mysterious, yet central common denominator of all people. As the late Dom Bede Griffiths writes, "In each religion the divine Reality is manifested under different signs and symbols and we need to be able to discern this hidden Truth in each religious tradition. Each has something to contribute to human understanding and to human fulfillment." (2) 1. Radhakrishnan, S., Indian Religions (New Delhi, India: Orient Paperbacks, 1979) 61-62.
2. Griffiths, Bede, The Marriage of East and West (Springfield, Illinois: Templegate Publishers, 1982) 33-34. Sandi Fults has a Master's degree in Systematic Theology from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. She also attended the graduate Middle Eastern Studies program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her area of specialization is Interreligious Dialogue and the world's religions, with emphasis on the South Asian Hindu and Buddhist religious traditions. She is convinced that interreligious dialogue is a way to peace. A New Concept in Prescription Drug Savings for Victims of Medicare Part D's Dreaded "Doughnut Hole"

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jeremy_Cockerill] Jeremy Cockerill Many seniors who have signed up for the Medicare Prescription Drug plan are shocked to find out that they are already hitting the dreaded gap in coverage known as the doughnut hole. During this gap in coverage, between $2250 and $5100 in prescription drug spending, Medicare Part D participants lose coverage, must continue to pay their monthly premiums and are 100% responsible for paying for their medications themselves. Once they hit the doughnut hole, this massive jump in monthly medication expenditures makes it very difficult for some Plan D participants to cope financially. In a recent Business Week article, Bruce Stuart, director of the Peter Lamy Center on Drug Therapy & Aging at the University of Maryland, estimated that about 38% of Medicare beneficiaries are at risk of hitting the doughnut hole this year. This estimation means that 7 million to 10 million participants could hit the doughnut hole and lose coverage for part of this year. Seniors were expecting to receive a benefit that would help them save money all year long and now they are getting slapped with massive monthly medication bills part way through the year. says Jeff Uhl, president of Universal Drugstore, a Canadian mail-order pharmacy. Our customers are really angry about having to pay full U.S. retail price once they hit the doughnut hole and they are rushing back. People are realizing that they can save much more filling their prescription with our pharmacy once they hit the doughnut hole. At an average savings of 42% less than U.S. retail prices, individuals can find substantial savings filling their prescriptions at a licensed Canadian Pharmacy once they reach the doughnut hole. The $2850 worth of medications that individuals have to pay for personally while in the coverage gap would cost an average of 42% less in Canada. That means that instead of paying $2850 for their medications while in the doughnut hole, an individual could purchase the exact same medications, in Canada, for about $1650. As an example, someone ordering Lipitor 20mg through their Medicare Part D plan while in the doughnut hole would have to shell out $348 dollars for a 90 day supply. The same 90 day supply of Lipitor 20mg is a much more reasonable $195 at Universal Drugstore. That is a savings of $153 dollars or 44% less. U.S. seniors need to be told about this option, Uhl urges. Seniors who hit the doughnut hole but are not going spend enough to come out on the other side of the doughnut hole are being duped if they buy their drugs through their Medicare plan while experiencing this gap in coverage. By purchasing their medications from Canada while they are in the doughnut hole these individuals can truly maximize their savings. A recent Los Angeles Times article reported that the gap in coverage could change next year to between $2400 and $5,451. This would mean an even bigger gap in coverage next year and therefore more money out of Part D participants pockets. How big the coverage gap will grow in future years can only be speculated. Although purchases at Canadian pharmacies do not count towards an individuals out-of-pocket expenses Medicare Part D participants may want to consider using a Canadian pharmacy. Using a Canadian Pharmacy in the right situations can provide substantial savings to seniors. Some people suggest that seniors use a Canadian pharmacy when a drug is not covered by their plan or when they reach the $2850 gap in coverage but will not reach the other side of the doughnut hole where they can take advantage of the catastrophic coverage portion of Part D. With all the confusion with Medicare Part D plans it is difficult for seniors to know what is their best course of action. For many Medicare-eligible individuals using a Canadian pharmacy as a part of their annual prescription drug purchasing game plan is something they should seriously consider. Riverside DUI Attorney Fees

By Ken Marlborough A driving under the influence (DUI) or "drunk driving" case is a unique situation. Unlike most other criminal cases, you have to face both conventional court proceedings and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). There is never a good time to be arrested for DUI, but if it occurs to you, a friend or a family member in Riverside, a Riverside DUI attorney from California can help. Riverside DUI attorney fees differ greatly, depending on several factors of the case. The fee is normally very high, but may be paid in affordable, easy options. The variation in fee is based on how much effort is involved or expected on each case. A good lawyer also adjusts his fee structure to the financial situation of his clients. Since Riverside DUI attorneys accept MasterCard and American Express, you can retain a lawyer by telephone with a credit card. Most attorneys follow "set fee structures" when quoting the fee for DUI cases, regardless of their complexity. This means that clients may overpay for DUI attorney services. Overpaying also occurs when a lawyer says that his price quote contains the trial fee. In Riverside nearly all criminal cases, including DUI, do not go to trial. Therefore, there is no need to prepay for a jury trial. Riverside DUI attorneys normally offer free initial consultation. During the free consultation, the client can learn his rights and choices on the particular case. If the person is not satisfied with the lawyer, he can move on to another attorney office. Hence there is no risk on the client's side. A few persons strive to defend themselves without any lawful support. But, this action is normally risky, and the after effects can be harsh. The consequences include loss of driver's license, money spent on fines and court costs, imprisonment, alcohol treatment classes and increased insurance premiums. One usually gets 15 days from the date of arrest to respond to the above issues. Hiring a good DUI attorney can reduce these worries. Riverside DUI Attorneys provides detailed information on Riverside DUI Attorneys, Riverside DUI Fines, Riverside DUI Defense, Riverside DUI Laws and more. Social Security Disability and SSI: How to Win Your Appeal

By Jack Burton If you have been denied Social Security disability or SSI benefits and are appealing the decision at a hearing, there are steps you can take to ensure a favorable decision. You can win your Social Security appeal without hiring an attorney. When Social Security denies your application for disability or SSI benefits you have 60 days to file an appeal. In most states you will first file for reconsideration and your States Disability Determination Service will re-evaluate your case. If this reconsideration is denied again you will have another 60 days to request a hearing before an administrative law judge. Hearings are held in Social Securitys Office of Hearings and Appeals. When this office schedules a hearing for you they will set up a time for you to appear before an administrative law judge to argue your case. At this hearing you will be able to present any new medical evidence you have to support your claim. You may also bring witnesses to speak on your behalf. This could include an attorney or disability representative. You are not required to hire an attorney or representative; however, if you choose to have representation this individual will receive 25% of your back pay should you win. Instead of having an attorney represent you, bring other qualified individuals to speak on your behalf. This can include your doctor, social worker, and family members. Your family members know the most about your disability. They know how it affects you on a daily basis. This testimony could be extremely valuable if you rely on your family members for daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and using the facilities. Organize your case before attending the hearing. You should know what you want to say and how you are going to say it. Dont be afraid to use notes or an outline. Present your case in a logical manner with witnesses and medical evidence to support your argument and you will be well on your way to winning your Social Security Disability or SSI appeal. A Quick Guide To Free Cell Phone Promotions

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Craig_Thornburrow]Craig Thornburrow Any person who has looked for a new cell phone service has seen that many of these service providers offer free cell phone promotional give away items. This is, of course, a great way of pulling in new customers who may have not sided with the specific cell phone service if given the choice between competing cell phone services. Regardless of what a company is selling or offering, providing something for free will surely attract attention and draw in potential customers. Granted, some people will be a bit leery about a free promotional gift and this is understandable. Of course, there will always be concerns among people that the cell phone will be a sub par item. This is a valid concern and anyone who has such a concern should be commended for thinking outside the box and realizing that just because something is free does not necessarily mean that the item is truly worth anything. However, if one is dealing with a reliable cell phone service or distributor, then such worries should not be much of a concern. Sure, a little concern is understandable, but the reality is that these companies have far more to lose by offering a cheap phone for free that will not actually work as opposed to offering an expensive phone that will be incredibly reliable. First, of the company offers a free phone that turns out to be unreliable, it will probably kill any future business that the person who was burned by a free phone that ended up malfunctioning or breaking within a ridiculously short period of time. When the company provides a free phone as a promotional item, they are attempting to reel in a potential lifetime customer in a manner no different from the way cereal companies offer toys at the bottom of the box. If the company ends up hurting their image by providing a poor quality free give away item, then the company is shooting itself in the foot and defeating the purpose of providing the free item. So, the free phone will more than likely be quality items that the consumer can rely on. So, it is definitely worth it to give a company that is providing a free cell phone promotion a try. When the opportunity to save money or make money is presented, it should never be ignored. When people shop around for cellular phone service, they usually look for a company that offers competitive rates on minutes and service location. It should be simply academic that people will also opt to select the services that will provide free gifts as well and a free cell phone is certainly a free gift that would be appreciated. Market Yourself As An Expert With These 10 Simple Steps

By Debbie LaChusa As a small business owner or independent professional offering a service, I'm sure you know a lot about whatever it is you do. For example, if you're a wellness coach or personal trainer, you know a lot about health, fitness and wellness. If you're an accountant or financial planner, you know a lot about financial matters. If you're a massage therapist, chiropractor, or other holistic health professional, you know a lot about the body and healing. And if you're a success, life or business coach, you know a lot about helping people accomplish their goals and achieve success in whatever aspect of their life or business you coach them. It's Time To Proclaim Yourself An Expert If you don't consider yourself an expert, I'd like to suggest it's high time you did. Why? Because proclaiming yourself an expert and sharing what you know is an excellent way to market yourself and your services. Especially if you find yourself in a field or industry that's new or not well understood. A big part of your job in this case is education. Who better to educate than an expert! And why not you?! It's Free Marketing At Its Best Plus, this kind of marketing usually won't cost you a dime. So, if you're on a tight budget, this is a great solution. Keep in mind, when you market this way, you're not giving away your services for free, but rather you're introducing yourself, your expertise and knowledge, and your business to people who could benefit. There are all kinds of ways you can use this marketing technique to start attracting new clients to your business. Here are 10 ideas to get you started: (1) Identify a topic (or topics) you know a lot about, related to your business, and that you think would be helpful and valuable to your ideal clients. (2) Identify three, five, seven or 10 tips you could share on this topic. (3) Write articles sharing these three, five, seven and 10 tips. Keep your articles short - between 300 and 500 words is fine. (4) Post your free articles on article marketing web sites. There are many free article directories available. In fact, there are over 40 of them listed in the 10stepmarketing Online Marketing Resource Center. (5) Teach teleseminars sharing these tips to groups of your ideal clients. These could be your current prospects, or you could joint venture with someone else in a related business and offer to do a teleseminar for their clients. (6) Publish and distribute a Free Special Report covering your tips. (7) Start publishing an ezine or e-newsletter and share tips on a regular basis. (8) Let the media know you're an expert in your field and offer to help them if they're writing articles in your area of expertise. Submit press releases to them on a regular basis so they become familiar with you and your business. (9) Submit articles or offer to write a column for publications read by your ideal clients. (10) Always include some promotion of your services, or a special offer with your free content. Even if it's only a link to your website. Remember your ultimate goal is to market your services. All of these marketing techniques are great ways to proclaim yourself an expert Remember all it takes to become an expert is to appoint yourself THE expert. Then deliver on that by sharing valuable information using one, two or all of the marketing methods above. It's the technique I've used This is the primary form of marketing I've used to market 10stepmarketing over the past year. I have used all 10 of these methods and the reward has been tremendous - generating amazing exposure for me and my business at little to no cost. I invite you to search Google on my name and see what comes up. :-) 99% of what you'll find was done for free. The only cost was my time to write and put the information out there. I encourage you to give it a try. It works! Debbie LaChusa created The 10 step marketing System to make marketing your own business as simple as answering 10 questions. Franchising Offers NO Guarantees --

By Don Monteith You have to ask --- IS a FRANCHISE FOR YOU? There are NO guarantees. You invest your money and take your chances. My own experiences include franchises for personnel agencies, temporary help services, diet centers, restaurants and PC training schools. Some of these franchises proved very important in our business plan and growth into a multi-million dollar enterprise. However, there were some expensive lessons that we learned through the process. As with any business, you must determine whether or not to enter a particular venture. First, assess YOUR reasons for going into ANY business, not just a franchise opportunity. Your best decision may be to buy a franchise. On the other hand, you may not be ready for any business venture. YOUR DECISION YOU must become a SUPER snoop or investigator. Ask the tough questions. You cannot expect exactly the same results as another owner of a franchise. If you are buying brick and mortar then its location, location, and location. Also, its not only the location. Employees can make or break a company. Your investment in the company or your ability to fund the enterprise are factors. Your own leadership ability is a key element. Links are important, too. It is imperative that you ask a lot of what if questions. What if I stay with my present employer? What if I go broke? What if I dont LIKE the business? What if my spouse does not like my new hours of work? What if I dont like selling? Why do YOU want your own business? Is it just a dream? Were your parents owners of their own enterprise? Franchise? Joint ownership, partnership? Again, YOU are your own person and must make your own decision. Family history of owning a business is NOT necessarily a guarantee of your success. TIRED OF THE BOSS Are you tired of your Supervisor or the Boss telling you what to do? Yes? That's not a good reason to jump ship. Operating a business requires more than a need for change or the desire to do as you please. Business owners DO NOT get to do as they please UNLESS they please to spend most of their time worrying or thinking about their business. Dealing with employees, payroll, benefits, vacations, sickness, children, spouses, vendors, customers, inventory, taxes, lawyers, accountants, auditors, IRS, EEOC, insurance, and more. TOTAL COMMITMENT Purchasing a franchise requires TOTAL commitment. Your energy, your money as well as other assets (collateral) are required to back up your new venture. IF you are NOT prepared to invest these qualities and resources into your franchise, then STOP here. EVALUATING YOUR SKILLS
Your experiences and potential success As a first and often overlooked step, ask yourself why you want to purchase a franchise. This question, although basic, is an excellent way of evaluating your reasons for going into business. List every reason you identify, no matter how far-fetched it may seem. Divide your list into two separate components. Separate the viable reasons from the trivial ones and categorize them accordingly. It isn't unusual for reasons to range from the desire to be your own boss to the desire to be a billionaire. Consider the following questions: Are you a leader?
Do you like to make your own decisions?
Do others turn to you for help in making decisions?
Are you willing to accept managerial assistance
from the franchisor?
Are you willing to comply with the provisions
outlined in the franchise contract?
Do you enjoy competition?
Do you have will-power and self-discipline?
Do you plan ahead? Do you like people?
Do you get along well with others? Important questions need answers covering your physical, emotional and financial status. All part of being the successful business owner. Are you aware and understand the picture of: 12 to 18 hour work days
six days, seven days a week
Saturday and Sunday schedules
Physical stamina required
Family strains and commitment
Reduced income possibilities
Risk of loss, your family savings
Risk of failure and starting over Answering yes to all of the above means that you have some of the skills needed to operate a successful franchise and/or private business. A no answer means that you may have to acquire additional skills and/or talent through others or training. Have you had any business training in school?
Are you willing to delay your plans UNTIL you
acquire the skills? FAMILY INVOLVEMENT When you complete your self-analysis, discuss your results with your family and your financial advisor. Their feedback can help you make the right decision. If you all agree that you have most of the skills needed to operate a successful franchise, then you should feel comfortable proceeding with your plans. If, however, they feel you lack most of these skills, then you may need to consider delaying your plans until you are better prepared. Above all, be honest and objective with yourself. It is YOUR future that we are dealing with in this analysis. MY FIRST FRANCHISE At the time, I was 30 years old and had already co-owned two businesses in my early years before 25 and had spent the last
4-1/2 years with an envelope manufacturer as an executive on the management team. To make a long story short, I spent almost 2 years in this franchise before realizing we had too many chiefs (investors) and few indians (workers). Very quickly, heres the point. The headquarters (franchisor) had a great track record in the home city and was making a lot of money. This is important. Why? Was there a link to the source of business? YES! Our problem? We did not own or have the link that would turn the business into the same success story as the home office, the franchisor. You have to look deep to find the details. A number of factors can be the link which makes your business successful. Lets name a few it could be YOU, or a member of your staff, the location, unlimited financing, a large investor, new equipment and many more possibilities. Be sure you KNOW the success links. Sometimes they are hard to find but it is essential that you discover them BEFORE investing your money. Action Tip: A franchised business has NO guarantee. You need a valid reason to begin a new business. Know that it takes full-time commitment from you and your family. You should know 'thy-self'. Leadership skills are required. Risk of failure is real and increase in skills level is important. Imperative to KNOW the success link in the home franchise. Don Monteith spent 32 years as co-owner of several franchises and a personnel/staffing business. Every year, his firm placed hundreds of job candidates in their dream job. Vices and Virtues in Marriage: Jealousy vs Trust

By Angie Lewis Have you ever had to deal with a jealous husband or wife? Most marriages at some time or another go through a period of mistrust and jealousy when their spouse does something to merit mistrust. Maybe they flirted or maybe they had an affair or it could be that they didnt do anything at all to warrant distrust. More often than not when a spouse is jealous of the other without merit it means they do not trust them selves. If they dont trust them selves they usually are jealous, suspicious, controlling, and insecure. This can be a living nightmare for the spouse who has to take this sort of abuse. But it doesnt have to be like this. Ask your self. Why am I jealous? Why do I not trust my spouse? What have they done to merit my suspicions of them? Maybe you have good reason to feel the way you do. But more than likely your misgivings about your spouse have gotten out of hand. We need to be honest with our self about the actions we take in life. The heart of the matter is, we either trust our spouse or we dont, there is no in between here. Where does trust come from? Having trust for your spouse is not just a feeling but an action as well. It is through our actions that we show our spouse that we trust in them. It means we feel confident and assured enough to regard them with our trust. Trust is actually a great virtue of character that a person holds. Everyday and everywhere the issue of trust comes up, not just in marriage. Sometimes we just need to trust people otherwise we might not accomplish our goals in life, or believe with the faith that we are supposed to. There might be times when we will need to regain back trust for someone who has hurt us and this entails that we hold the virtue of trust within our character. In marriage, unless otherwise merited, trust should already be an established commitment by both spouses. Without trust and faith in marriage there would be so much insecure behavior floating around such as, distrust, doubt, suspicions, lying, jealousy, possessiveness, and control issues that divorce would even start to sound good. Divorce over the issue of jealousy and mistrust? It is important that couples get to the bottom of why a spouse feels suspicious of the other. I can tell you what I think and youll probably shrug it off. But I have to tell you anyway. When we do not know who we are, we have no purpose or connection to the source of who we are, we tend to live upon our own feelings, ideas, beliefs, and such; those things become our purpose, which is to gratify self. We dont have any real wisdom and understanding as to why our feelings make us feel bad or why we do the things we do. In a peapod we are connected to self and what our feelings tell us, and disconnected from our source and what our source tells us. But our source is where our life giving spiritual food and water come from. Our source is where we learn to grow out from the selfish person we are and into the loving person we were meant to be. The inability to trust our spouse stems from the lack of Christ in our life. It is really that simple. We dont have to be religious fanatics to be the loving people God meant for us to be. What we do need to do though is accept and allow Jesus Christ into our life by whatever means is easiest for us. Whats so hard about that? Here is how it works. You give Jesus your vices and He will then give you the virtues of His nature. The fruits we bear come from the living spiritual Christ in our life. In other words a persons moral fiber originates from what he believes, and what he does with those beliefs. There are many great virtues a man can live by, and there are many bad vices a man can live by. What Im trying to say is if you mistrust your spouse and often feel possessive and jealous over them it is because of your own insecurities taking over your mind. This doesnt have to happen. Where do insecurities come from? They dont come from God that is for sure and they arent a fruit of the spiritual self either. They come from self. If we doubt self, we will ultimately doubt others as well. If I feel bad about who I am, I will often be critical, envious, judgmental and jealous of others. These are the insecurities that we create in our own mind. It is not fair that we radiate our insecure behavior upon those we love. That is why God has given us a most special gift called the Holy Spirit. This is Christs Spirit within us. We have the choice. We can either choose to lean on our own understanding for guidance and behave selfishly, or we can grow out from the vices of self and become one with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the virtues of character that I have been talking about. [The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the life. I warn you as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and faithfulness, gentleness ands self control.] Galatians 5:19-22 The question we ought to ask our self then is would I rather doubt my spouse and feel bad about my self and marriage, or trust my spouse and feel good about my spouse, my self and my marriage? We have choices. ~~ Angie Lewis offers spiritual enlightenment tips for couples in marriage, and is the author of new release book JOURNEY ON THE ROADS LESS TRAVELED. Developing a Strategy for Marketing to Realtors that Delivers Results

By Jeffrey Nelson No doubt that you are making a significant effort in marketing to Realtors. So what are you doing? Are you sending out newsletters and postcards, referring Realtors to your website, giving out business cards? Those are all efforts of marketing, but it does not necessarily mean it is effective. Effective marketing produces results, not just activity. The best way to make your marketing effective is to make sure you understand the elements of marketing: the four P's of marketing. Marketing is more than mere advertising. Successful marketing to Realtors means implementing a strategy. Using the four P's is one way of guiding your marketing strategy. The four P's of marketing are: Planning, Positioning, Packaging and Promoting. Planning A well thought out marketing plan is the foundation for your efforts. This marketing plan is your long term strategy of how you can attract the attention of Realtors. A good plan keeps you from making the same mistakes that most loan officers make: advertising not marketing. Your marketing plan reflects the relationship that you want to attract and how you will attract them. When you have a plan of what you want to achieve, you can focus on how you will achieve it, and you know what you should ignore to keep from being distracted. Positioning The position that you want to focus on is the place you occupy in your prospects mind. Your position is a tool to reach your target audience. Positioning is your ability to connect with your target audience. You need to narrow your focus to position yourself as a specialist to that prospect. When you specialize or occupy a position in the prospects mind, you establish yourself head and shoulders above the competition. If you do not spend the time to focus your marketing efforts, to position yourself, your message becomes diluted. Packaging Your materials are often the first thing a prospect sees: your website, newsletters brochures, postcards, etc. They form an impression based on these materials of your service. As a loan officer, these materials are how you package your service. Professional designed materials convey an impression that you are established, credible, and stable. It also makes your brand more memorable, and reinforces your brand image. Promoting How do you promote your services? Your promotion establishes visibility for your brand identity. To attract and build relationships with Realtors, they must be comfortable and believe you to be trustworthy. Promotion is a matter of repeating yourself through every medium available. That means making clear, concise materials that use opportunities available to reach your target audience. Again, think about your specialization and develop promotional materials for that audience. When you develop a solid marketing plan that uses the four P's of marketing, you attract the attention of your target audience: your Realtor prospects. A well developed plan at marketing to them distinguishes you in a crowded field of loan officers. Your prospects focus on you and your brand with the guidance of the Four P's. The Steiff Teddy Bear Story

By Sharon Lauer In 1847 in a small town in Giengen, Germany a baby girl was born. She was named Margaret Steiff. Her childhood vigor was cut short when she contracted polio at the age of 2. Although confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life, she became a model for strength and determination. Margaret excelled in sewing and needlework and became the proud owner of the first sewing machine in Geingen. In 1879, she started her dressmaking business. Her dresses, coats and other clothing products were quickly in demand. In December of that year she came across a pattern for a toy elephant in a magazine. She made these as gifts for her family and close friends. Margaret used her expertise to develop other animal patterns and 1883 added them to her price list as a range of felt items. Her business continued to grow and in 1892 she began making soft filled bears, which would later be referred to as Teddy Bears. These bears resembled real bears, posing on all four paws with humped backs. Richard Steiff, Margaret's nephew, helped his aunt with design and production of her teddy bears and soft filled animals. An avid art student, he was a regular visitor of the Stuttgart Zoo where he got ideas for animal designs. While touring America, Richard was inspired for a new design during a circus performance. The dancing bears gave him the idea of designing a toy bear which stood upright and was jointed, similar to how dolls were made. By 1902 the inspiration was reality and Margaret was producing a jointed soft filled teddy bear with mohair plush fur and glass eyes. They were the first jointed teddy bears produced. In 1903 Richard displayed the new bears at the Leipzig Toy Fair. Unfortunately they didn't generate much interest in the Europeans. As Richard was packing up his display at the end of the fair, American Hermann Berg chanced by his booth. Berg was a buyer for the New York firm Geo Borgfeldt and Company. At about this time in America the story of Theodore Roosevelt's 'Teddy's Bear' was becoming popular. Berg placed an order for 3,000 bears. By 1904 the Steiff teddy bear had become an American success. They were awarded various accolades including the prestigious Grand Prix award. In total 12,000 bears were sold by the end of 1904 with the trademark button in the left ear. Publicity from Roosevelt's adventure helped place teddy bears in the hearts of Americans where they remain today. The world record price for an antique bear was made at a December 1994 auction. The winning bid was $176,000.00 for a 1905 Steiff bear. Steiff teddy bears continue to leave their marks today in the hearts of collectors and teddy bear lovers alike. Get a Loan With a Poor Credit Rating

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Joseph_Kenny]Joseph Kenny How do you go about obtaining a loan if you have a poor credit score? Is it even possible if you have declared bankruptcy? Well, the short answer is yes. It may be difficult however, so you should be ready to put up with a few rejections. You should also be ready to accept higher interest rates and tighter restrictions. You should also be wary of disreputable loan companies who specifically target those with poor credit ratings and offer them loans with excessive interest rates, unfair terms and very high penalties. With offers like this, it may be that you are better off without the loan than with it. There are a variety of possibilities available however and some of them are worth considering. They range from unsecured credit cards, to mortgages secured over your home. Everyone, before taking on extra debt, should carefully assess how much they can afford, what are their needs and how much do they need to borrow. Lenders will need to see evidence of income so if you try to borrow a very large amount, you will likely be turned down. However, it is often possible to borrow far more than you can reasonably afford so think about how much you ask for too. If your credit rating is very bad you will have to adapt to these circumstances. For example: With a mortgage, you may have to supply a larger down payment.
With a credit card you will face higher interest rates.
For a personal loan you may have to supply security. You should also understand that your bargaining power will be weaker if you have a poor credit rating. Some lenders will set up a plan under which your interest rates, and the terms of the loan, improve as you demonstrate responsible repayment of the loan. This can be a good option and you should ask your lender if they will consider this option. It may also be worth seeking the advice of a loan officer or debt counselor who will advise you on how much you can afford under your current budget. In some cases, you will simply have to wait till your credit rating improves before you can make a desired purpose. Credit cards can demonstrate to lenders that you are a good risk, but they can be very dangerous for someone who has a history of over spending. You should also look into options such as transferring credit card balances to cards with lower rates. You can also negotiate with your lenders if you are having problems making repayments. At the end of the day, only consistently making on time repayments over an extended period of time will your credit rating improve. What Can I Do to Lose Weight, Like "Right Now"?

By Foras Aje Do you ever wonder how fast it is these days to communicate with people in a whole other continent? Wow, things have really skyrocketed to being always in a sound-byte mode so it leaves no room to wonder why losing weight wont be just as fastat least for most people. Now, with so many Americans being overweight and hence looking to shed excessive pounds, is it any wonder that a method to lose weight rapidly is a much sought after option in the internet or in countless doctors and trainers logs? The last issue of "People's Magazine" Claims that Britney Spears lost most of the extra poundage she had within several weeks to a few months, let's not forget the issue of Janet Jackson's weight loss...till today, people are still wondering what options she implemented for such a rapid loss of weight. Nonetheless, let's remember one thing, these are celebrities who can afford to pay for the top notch trainers and dieticians to monitor every second of their fast loss of weight programs, and with million-dollar deals at stake and their reputations on the line (as well as the livelihood of their employees), you can best believe they will go after any options to lose weight rapidly to keep everyone satisfiedevengoing under the knife. That stated, what if I were to tell you that indeed there are some natural options to lose weight rapidly that you can implement and unlike most of the so called programs to lose weight quickly out there, will actually improve your health at the same time. They are as follows: 1. A Juice Fast 2. A Restricted diet of mono-meals of fruit 3. The Mucus-Less diet menu plan. What connects all four components together are that 1. Their effectiveness is in the order of how they are listed.
2. If You reverse the order of how each is listed, you can use the latter to prepare for the former (and wean the body from the last back to the first: for example: Use option 2 to prepare for option 1, wean the body back from option 1 to prepare for option 2, and so on.) In addition to this, we all know exercise (strength training and cardiovascular fitness) do come in handy when implementing any program to lose weight quickly. Without having to pay for any expensive gym memberships or cumbersome equipment that may end up being a rack for clothes, let me offer you this simple routine 1. 20-60 Ab Wheel Roll Outs 2. Unlimited Chin-ups 3. Unlimited Chair Dips 4. Unlimited Pull Ups 5. Burpees (20 plus reps) The routine above, (especially when performed in super sets) will definitely get you toned, strengthened and fit in less than 15 minutes a day. Of course, you could make it longer by adding jogging or other activities to it, but as a core workout, trust me, it kicks buttand with the current weather, it beats having to jog in the cold. You will also notice that with this plan there are no gimmicks, no expensive equipment and what not, just straight to the point folks. So, if losing weight fast AND healthily is what you are after, I proudly, yet humbly, offer the tips above to you and I hope I would have gained a friend after you must have succeeded with using them. Calla Lilies - Flowers for All Occasions

By William Berg The Calla Lilies are plants belonging to the Zantedeschia genus in the Araceae family. The genus contains seven plant species and they are all commonly referred to as Calla Lillies. Some of them have other common names as well. Zantedeschia aethiopica is also known as giant white arum lily and common arum lily. Zantedeschia albomaculata is sometimes sold as spotted arum lily, and Zantedeschia rehmannii is known as the pink arum lily. Zantedeschia elliottiana has a yellow shade and is therefore called yellow or golden arum lily. The other three species, Zantedeschia odorata, Zantedeschia jucunda and Zantedeschia pentlandii, are usually called just Calla Lilies. All the Calla Lilies originate from the African continent and are found wild between north Malawi and South Africa. They are often referred to as Arum Lilies. The Calla Lilies should not be confused with the flowers found in the genus named Calla that can be found in the Araceae family. This genus contains only one species, the Calla palustris, and unlike the Calla Lilies, this plant is native to cool regions in the temperate zoon and grows wild in Europe, North America and northern Asia. Another source of confusion regarding the Calla Lilies is that they actually do not belong to the family of the lilies. The Calla Lilies are all rhizomatous plants that can reach a height of 1-2.5 meters. The leaves will grow up to 45 centimetres. The name Calla is derived from the Greek language and means beautiful and this is a very appropriate name since the Calla Lilies are appreciated world wide for their exquisite beauty. In regions too cold for these flowers, they are cultivated indoors in homes and greenhouses. When you plant your Calla Lily, it is important that the soil is free from salt since Calla Lilies are very sensitive to salt. As long as you provide your Calla Lily with appropriate soil, plenty of water and lot of sunlight it is actually a though and durable plant that grows fast. Use a nutritious soil that drains easily. Place your Calla Lily in direct sunlight or light shade. Calla Lilies will do best when the temperatures are kept over 70 degrees F. An outdoor living Calla Lily will usually require no fertilization as long as it has been planted in rich soil. Indoor Calla Lilies, or outdoor Calla Lilies that are planted in pots, should be given liquid plant food regularly. You can either mix a very weak plant food solution and use every time you water your Calla Lily, or mix a little stronger but still quite mild solution and feed your plant every three weeks. When the blossoming period is over, you should allow the foliage of the plant to mature. Remove the flowers as the start to fade and wither. Slowly decrease the amount of water until the leaves have turned black. The tubers need at least 3 months to rest before they can bloom again. Since the Calla Lily grows fast it will eventually require repotting, and this is the ideal time to do so. Weight Loss Method The Scientific Way

By Jed Baguio When the body can burn off more calories in a day than it consumes, that is when weight loss occurs. There are two factors that affect this. First is how much a person consumes in a day and second is how active the metabolism is at breaking down and burning off calories. One must first understand how the metabolism works for better understanding on how this occurs. The metabolism breaks down food and nutrients to be used by the body. It is working and burning off fat whether you are not eating, whether you are exercising, sleeping or even being lazy. This is to keep the body running. A more active metabolism will result in more fat being burned throughout the day in order to keep the body running smoothly which will result in healthy weight loss in the long run. Herbs or fat loss pills are the key to burning fat and that is what many people believe. But it is not the truth. The result is only minimal and can be damaging to the body when abused. Studies have proven that there is really only one way to lose weight in a healthy way and it involves the lengthy experience of having to pay attention to your diet, drink more water and exercise daily in order to both burn off calories that way and to keep the heart pumping that results in both a boosted metabolism and healthier blood levels. To clearly show why boosting the metabolism is such a proven weight loss method if we combine these factors. Therefore, boosting your metabolism will result in both a better looking as well as a healthier body. Now the challenge is how to boost metabolism? One of the key factors in maintaining a healthy metabolism rate is nutrition. If you arent eating right, you arent going to see results even if you do exercise. Eating right is not just watching your calories. For keeping the metabolism working at a high level, certain foods are known for it. Complex carbohydrates and fiber are known for keeping insulin levels low after eating. One major role in boosting the metabolism and being able to burn of calories and undesired fat is exercise. It will help to maximize a boosted metabolism. Should you take diet supplements? If dieting and eating the right metabolism boosting foods wont work for you, and then there are plenty of healthy metabolism boosting supplements that can be sought out. Just pay close attention when looking for supplements. It is helpful to find certain supplements which help to boost the metabolism and increase the amount of calories burned each day naturally than going into those quick fixes supplements. A few supplements can be very effective such as Xerisan ASA diet pill. It is one of the most effective and natural metabolism boosting pills though it looks expensive. For my conclusion, you better to do your homework before you decide to buy any pills.
